Ten Reasons Why You Should Watch The Vampire Diaries
You love vampires, werewolves and witches and
look for action and brilliancy? What you’re waiting for then, The Vampire
Diaries is the most amazing TV show you can ever fan about. It’ll give you all
the emotions you need, and it had the most outstanding cast ever.
You don’t trust
that? Well, here’s 10 reasons why you should watch the Vampire Diaries:
1-
It has all
the supernatural creatures that you love: aside from the show centering about cool bad vampires—and other good ones—the Vampire Diaries have all the
other crazy creatures. Werewolves; we all know in any vampire series there
should be their ultimate enemies. Witches in all kind; like, I didn’t know
there would be the Travelers who use the traditional magic. And the Gemini
coven and their crazy merging thing, and superior power—I’m speaking about Kai’s
magnificent magic sucking thing. And then the hybrids. The werewolf/vampire
hybrid; which was kind of expected somehow (I didn’t really expect it until it
showed up). And then the vampire/witch hybrid! I mean, can you imagine an awfully
strong immortal being with enhanced power like magic!? I certainly didn’t see
that coming, not after Bonnie’s mom had lost her powers when she turned, that was crazy.
2-
Real bad
boys: okay,
this one is important. In a lot of shows
there’s the bad guys who’re considered bad but they’re good and misjudged. But in
the Vampire Diaries, even the good guys are bad! Damon is a real badass
vampire, like really really bad, and yet, even when he fell for Elena
and become just lightly peaceful, he was still bad. And Stefan, the good
vampire, he actually turned to be bad like his true self and no one ever sugarcoated
that.
3- Strong Badass girls:
this could
be good and bad. The bad part, is Katherine Pierce (I love her name when Elijah
says it: “Katerina”.) She’s the badest female in the whole series. She’s selfish, clever, strong and beautiful,
and she really fits as a vampire because she embrace her nature really well. And
she’s deceiving, like I really believed her when she was dying and hoping to
get forgiveness from Elena, but then she used her body instead, that was
unexpected! Now the good part is, the development in Elena’s character. When she
was human, she was vulnerable, but when she turned into a vampire she was so
strong despite the fact that she can be quite shaky. And lastly, Rebekah the
Badass, she’s like so strong and she likes it. Sadly, she’s been away to New
Orleans in the spinoff: The Originals. I kind of liked her.
4-
Cliffhangers:
this show
could be the only show that got me at the edge of my seat, honestly. The plot
twist is just amazing, things follow a certain flow and you don’t go like “Where
the hell did that come from!?” because they prepare you for it before hand.
And then cliffhanger at the end of each episode, it really drives me mad (I watched
the show lately on the internet, and I had finished it whole in a month because
I was so curious about what gonna happen in the next episodes). It fills you
with suspense, and curiosity, and it leaves you wondering what gonna happen
next.
5-
Lovable characters: so, I’m
from that type of people who watch the show for the humor first. The characters
humor. And Damon is just so funny. Although you’d have to hate him at
first because he killed lots of people,
his sarcastic sidekicks and humor had me loving him so much. And then Bonnie, I
hated her when she turned her back against her friends when they turned into
vampires, but then you’ll get her point and you gonna surly love her for all
her sacrifices throughout the series. She’s the most character that end up
losing something, or hurting, and she does it for others and she’s so so
beautiful inside out. And Caroline, you gonna hate her because she’s that
meanie who’s so jealous of Elena but she grows stronger as she becomes a
vampire, and her insistence and friendly side gets you to love her with no
doubts.
6-
Funny nicknames: this got to
be on top, seriously. It’s like nicknames are the sole of this series, and the
king of it is Damon Salvatore. It’s really cute and funny how he launch nicknames
to everyone, especially Bonnie. Read this nicknames and tell me you don’t want
to watch the series: “Barbie Klaus for Rebekah. Robert Frost for Elena. Prudy Trudy
for Caroline. And Bon Bon, Judgy and Medusa and more of them for Bonnie.” He even
helped her out of death using the phrase, “You think I was gonna leave you
all alone, huh? No way. I’m not out of
nicknames for you yet.” Like, isn’t that the sweetest thing?
7-
Believable: if you don’t
like over exaggerated supernatural drama, then this is your show. I, myself, didn’t
like the idea of watching a show about vampires yet I did! I was curious
really, but then as I watched the show, I got to terms with believability. Okay,
I know vampires and werewolves aren’t real, but the fact that they are
following the traditional methods (and not the Twilight one) is actually
believable and more down to earth. They actually die, even the original ones. Shove
a stick through their hearts, or push them to the sun without their daylight
ring and puff they’re gone. They don’t sparkle. And werewolves only change at
full moons, and they can actually kill a vampire with one bite? This show is so
down to earth, just look past the cheesy title.
8-
Touching: this show
had me cry, laugh stupidly on my own, and even get mad. Like, they don’t only
focus on the romantic relationship even though it’s one of the main genres of
the show. They make family and friendship matters. In all the scenes that’ll
touch your heart—even if you denied it doesn’t—you’ll get to know the importance
of one to another, and the right means for brotherhood, friendship and such. The development between the character’s
feelings is really touching too, like, at first, you wouldn’t trust that Bonnie
and Damon could be friends, but then at the end of season 6 you’d realize that
they really care for each other. And the part where Elena had shut off her
humanity when her brother died. Also when Elena was put into a sleep and
everyone gathered up to bid their farewells, that was really really really
touching and had me on tears.
9-
Even main
characters die (and magically get back to life!): in a lot of
shows and movies the main protagonists don’t die, it’s like they’re bound to
live throughout the entire show even if their lives were at the edge. But, in
the vampire diaries, lots of people die. Like Elena! She didn’t die, but she’s
casted to sleep until Bonnie dies. Jeremy died oh so many times. Damon died,
but he was resurrected. Alaric died as a vampire, and got back as a human, that
was a really good one! Guest characters die, but that’s okay, they’re just
guest characters and they're usually Alaric's girlfriends (that guy is the most unlucky one). The point is, people still die in the show no matter what. Hell,
all the main characters died on season 5 and got back to life right on the same
episode!
10- Great cast: a hundred golden
points for the cast, it’s the most wonderful, convincing cast ever. They’ll
make you hate them, love them and cry along with them. They’ll give you all the
sort of feels. And, they embrace their parts so well you’ll think they’re real
vampires—or werewolves and witches (I love Bonnie the Witch). Nina Dobrev is a
genius, playing two parts (Katherine and Elena) it’s so amazing. Ian Somerhalder is the funniest guy ever—and the
badest evil vampire. Paul Wesley is just…urgh, he’s so sweet and nice and his
part is so brilliant, I love him playing Stefan. Candice will make you adore
her character. And Kat is just, WOW! She’s the most amazing witch ever existed!
So, here are
ten reasons why you should watch the Vampire Diaries. It’s a really brilliant
show, and it’ll keep you anticipated, and love all of these supernatural
creatures even if you didn’t before. if you were convinced, what you’re waiting for, go ahead and watch the whole series and
anticipate the seventh coming on October 8th!
Can you say no to this adoring face?
Enjoy your day, and be weird
bye!
